Two days back over lunch, we were chatting about how our focus changes. Oviya is nearing 8 years old. And she is inquisitive about everything in the world. She is reading Harry Potter books, painting nice pictures, dreaming about her birthday and reading weird but true facts National Geographic book. And we adults are concerned about what to buy for groceries this weekend, what to cook for her birthday party, etc.There is sometimes a contrast. At our young age, we are all eager to learn about the most things in the world. As we age, we seem to know a LOT about little things in a niche area. Is that how the world evolves?
For sure focusing on little things does pay off. One becomes a specialist in the area of work and hence can earn a living. And can be recognized and rewarded as well.
